A GENERAL COMMENT: Students have to maintain proper priorities. I intend to provide students an opportunity to learn everyday.
It is up to each student to make the most of this. Again I will address sporadic attendance by some of our students.
You cannot learn if you are not in school!
Our new Geometry and Algebra II books have on CD lectures
and demonstrations for each lesson by one of the textbooks author. A student missing a class should pick up this disc from
me or go online and take some notes over the lesson they missed. Roughly there is 2 days allowed to make up each
missed day. I do not appreciate students delaying making up their work!!!!!!!!
The school purchased
new text books now three years ago. This year we made an inventory of the resulting damages. Most of this year's students
think the books are in excellent condition, (" Matt Faas really took good care of his text or didn't use it!")
I have these inventories, so we can see how book care goes this year. I have covers for them or the student will put a cover
of their choice on - all books will have covers. Not surprisingly at this date 6-8 students do not have covers
on. I will give grades for following directions.
They turn out to be larger physically and do
not fit as well on desk tops or in lockers. We can manage!
